Mike Slaton brings over 20 years of experience in the public and nonprofit sectors

including 5 years as General Manager of the Iroquois Amphitheater and 5 years as Executive Director of the Louisville Pride Foundation.  

His areas of expertise include event management, fundraising, sponsorship sales, problem-solving, and operational efficiency. Known for his leadership and strategic approach, Mike has a proven track record of driving success in the organizations he serves. He holds a BA in History from the University of Louisville and a Master of Public Administration from Indiana State University.

Mike’s diverse experience spans non-profit employment, board service, and multiple government roles. He has worked on special events as a producer, venue manager, permitting authority, and even as a performer—giving him a 360-degree understanding of event execution. He has experience with contracts, sponsorships, and grants, offering insights from both the funder and applicant perspectives. Mike is a skilled negotiator who brings groups together, drives change, and delivers results in complex environments.
